about

Encoder is a Hungarian electronic music producer. He started making music around ’98 with tracker softwares when electronic music was barely accessible in Hungary. As he grew up in a rural part of the country he'd learned everything through trial and error and self-learning.

His latest EP 'Combinatorics Theory' is based on modular synthesis. The concept is about a special area of mathematics, certain properties of finite structures. In these tracks He is experimenting with repetitive and asymmetric compositions and structures. The tracks are different approaches on solving a "problem": how to make something monotonous, repetitive still interesting.
